The Document Management feature of the CynOps system allows you to manage all documents-from pleadings to correspondence to memoranda-with other case information for easy organization and quick access via the Internet.

Our document management system:

  • Consists of a customized hierarchical folder structure that dynamically changes based on matter type.
  • Automatically manages the document uploading and assignment of case information and attributes.
  • Automatically shares the documents with those groups of individuals that can benefit the most from the information.

All the while, the system maintains security controls so that the documents are selectively shared.

The Document Management feature of CynOps accepts the electronic files of documents utilizing a uniquely intuitive means of filing the document and minimizing the need for additional entry of metadata, the information about the document.

Using practice groups and matter-types as guides, documents are organized into customized sub-folders. Designating the document by type, such as motions, interrogatories, deposition transcripts, witness statements, etc. determines what metadata attributes will be collected when documents of each type are entered into the system.

The CynOps document management system is flexible, ensuring that only certain types of documents (with common metadata schemes) are posted to designated folders within the cases and automatically limiting access or otherwise controlling the properties of the folders in which the documents are placed.

The document management system is part of the larger collaborative and matter management system.
